EASA Compliance Check of 14 Greek Airports (2016-2017)

On behalf of Fraport Greece, aviare checked the compliance of the entire infrastructural airside area of 14 Greek regional airports with relevant EASA specifications. Among other things, the compliance of aprons, lightings, markings, and obstacles were assessed and potential solutions for non-compliances were developed.

For this check, more than 380 specifications, which were subdivided into approx. 4800 detailed rules, were taken into consideration. The web-based management tool avia.cat developed by aviare was employed to provide all parties concerned an efficient cooperation and served the Fraport Greece and the competent aviation authority as a base during the EASA certification process. This tool includes all the relevant results, specifications and used reference documents.

With its expertise and experience aviare successfully supported Fraport Greece during the EASA certification process of its 14 airports. Fraport Greece received the EASA certificates from the Greek aviation authority in December 2017.
